Lake Crescent
This glacier-carved lake offers swimming, boating, and fishing. Pedalboats, rowboats, canoes and motorboat rentals are available at the resorts and store on the lake.
There are boat launches on both ends of the lake
Several waterfalls are in this area; Marymere Falls is a mile walk from Storm King Ranger Station at Barnes Point.
On the north shore of the lake, a 4-mile trail follows the old Spruce Railroad grade and is one of two trails in the Park that allows mountain bikes.
There are plenty of picnic areas around the lake. Fairholme, Bovee's Meadow, La Poel, and the North Shore all have tables.
Lake Crescent is located between Forks and Port Angeles. It is a great place to take a break on your way to Forks; stop at Fariholm or East Beach for a swim on a hot summer's day or take a photo break at one of the many pullouts along Highway 101.
