3rd Beach near La Push
Third Beach, is a mostly-level 1.5 mile trail through natural second growth forest, a result of winds up to 170 mph in January 1921.
The"'21 Blow" leveled nearly 8 billion board feet of timber, enough to construct 600,000 3-bedroom homes. In the fall, mushrooms flourish under the forest canopy on these trails.
There is a beautiful waterfall at the south end of the beach, the waterfall can be seen all year long, but is only accessible during very low tides.

Also, at the south end of the beach is the trail to Oil City. The 17-mile trail that connects Third Beach to Oil City begins with an ascent up a steep cliff; hikers use ropes that dangle down from the top of the cliff to pull themselves up to the top of the headland and the start of the trail.
